The Trophy Tomato is an heirloom variety celebrated for its large, beefsteak-like fruits and exceptional flavor. The fruits typically weigh 1–2 pounds and have a slightly flattened, round shape with a rich red color. The flesh is meaty and juicy, offering a well-balanced, sweet, and tangy flavor, making it perfect for slicing, sandwiches, and fresh eating.

Indeterminate plants grow to 5–6 feet tall, producing an abundant harvest of large tomatoes throughout the growing season. These plants thrive in full sun and benefit from consistent moisture for the best fruit quality. Staking or caging is recommended to support the plant’s vigorous growth and large fruit load.

80 days from transplant.  This variety can be traced back to 1870 and was one of the first smooth tomato varieties.  Introduced by Colonel George E. Waring,  Jr., of Rhode Island. Round, red fruits that average 6-8 ounces.  Very sweet flavor.  Ideal for slicing.  High yields. Rumored to have sold for 5.00 per packet in 1870, which is equivalent to 80 in today's money
