The Amish Paste Tomato is a large, meaty heirloom variety known for its rich flavor and excellent versatility. The fruits are plum-shaped and typically weigh 6–8 ounces, with a deep red color and thick flesh. Its low moisture content makes it perfect for paste, sauces, and canning, but it also shines when sliced fresh. The taste is wonderfully balanced, with a bold, slightly tangy flavor that deepens when cooked.

Indeterminate plants grow to 5–6 feet tall, producing an abundant harvest of dense, flavorful tomatoes. They thrive in full sun and require consistent watering to achieve the best yields, making them ideal for gardeners looking to produce homemade tomato products.

Originally developed by Amish farmers in the 1800s, this heirloom variety was prized for its ability to thrive in a variety of growing conditions. Its rich history and exceptional performance in the kitchen have kept the Amish Paste Tomato a beloved choice for gardeners and home cooks alike.

85 days from transplant.  Originated from Wisconsin, but made popular by the Amish in Lancaster, PA.  Delicious flesh is juicy and meaty.  Taste is mild and sweet.  Excellent all-purpose variety.  Sauces, canning, or fresh eating.  Dates back to the 1870's.  Elongated fruits with pointy ends.  Wispy vines at first, and then strengthens as plant grows.
